Summary:

As a Registered Nurse with Carers NT, you will provide clinical care aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards while promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing of clients. You will work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance the lives of older people—especially in remote and Indigenous communities.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to older clients in line with the 8 Aged Care Quality Standards

• Administer medication and conduct health assessments per best practice guidelines

• Monitor client conditions and respond to clinical changes or emergencies appropriately

• Promote client independence, dignity, and culturally safe practices

• Lead, support, and mentor care staff including Enrolled Nurses and Aboriginal Health Workers

• Maintain comprehensive documentation and comply with AN-ACC and SIRS requirements

• Collaborate with families, Elders, and community health services

• Participate in continuous quality improvement, audits, and accreditation processes

• Support remote outreach and community engagement when required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in aged care or similar

• Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act 1997

• Clinical skills in medication administration, wound care, and palliative care

• Cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

• First Aid and CPR certification

• NT Working with Vulnerable People Card (Ochre Card)

• Current NT driver’s license

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualifications in gerontology, dementia, or palliative care • Supervisory or leadership experience • Remote or outreach healthcare experience

This role will support our participants in a culturally appropriate manner and allow our participants choice and control in who supports them.

Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide assistance and support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping clients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and promoting independence and community integration.

Responsibilities:

• Support participants with daily tasks with the aim of enhancing their independence, comfort and quality of life

• Provide emotional support and companionship to participants

• Providing support for participants to access social and community activities which may include shopping, transport and community activities

• Administer medication and monitor health conditions

• Assist participants with personal care, cooking, and household tasks in accordance with the participants care plan.
