Looking after your wellbeing during Christmas Season

The festive season can be a fun and exciting time for most of us, however sometimes it can be stressful, busy and can bring about feelings of isolation and sadness…

During these times remember to look after yourself by taking time out, having some relaxation and space by finding a quiet place to rest. Do some things you enjoy, such as going for a walk, listening to your favourite music or reading a book.  Self-care is important so that we have the time and energy to look after ourselves and others, therefore getting enough sleep, exercise, spending time outdoors, connecting with others and decorating your home with Christmas delights can also enhance your mood.

Connect with people that uplift you, or with those less fortunate than yourself or reach out to someone that may be alone during this time. Connecting with others helps reduce stress and feelings of isolation.
Some useful tips during the festive season are; treat yourself to something special, such as buying yourself a gift, even if you are on a budget, something small such as cup of tea or a little more indulgent like a massage or facial.   And finally remember to not overindulge in food or alcohol, moderation is best…
